GP Shield Secures Subscribers with Cisco-Powered Cyber Safety
Grameenphone has launched GP Shield to protect its customers from the growing wave of online threats, including malware, ransomware, and phishing attacks. The Cisco-powered next-generation DNS-layer security solution offers real-time cyber protection without requiring any app installation, download, or device storage.
Subscribers can activate the GP Shield through the MyGP app for a monthly fee of Tk 50 or an annual subscription of Tk 500, according to a company press release issued on November 12.
Grameenphone’s Chief Marketing Officer, Farha Naz Zaman, said, “We want every customer to explore, learn, and stay connected online with confidence through the combination of Cisco’s global expertise and Grameenphone’s strong network.”
Grameenphone’s Chief Business Officer, Dr. Asif Naimur Rashid, further noted, “This shield prevents harmful links from reaching users even before they appear.”
Through this initiative, Grameenphone aims to strengthen digital resilience for millions of users, ensuring safer and more confident online engagement across Bangladesh.
