Starship Soars Successfully: SpaceX Marks Milestones in Tenth Test Flight
Elon Musk’s U.S. space agency SpaceX has achieved several significant milestones in the tenth test flight of its colossal Starship rocket. The rocket was successfully launched from Starbase in Texas at 7:30 p.m. local time on Tuesday, according to TechCrunch.
The 403-foot-tall rocket, powered by 33 Raptor engines, ascended into the sky and separated into the booster and Starship segments after nearly three minutes. The booster made a successful landing in the Gulf of Mexico. Meanwhile, Starship reached space, where, for the first time, it opened its payload door, deployed eight satellites, and reignited a Raptor engine.
The greatest success of the mission was that Starship “did not lose communication at any point during the entire mission.” This development is being regarded as a critical advancement for NASA’s 2027 project to land humans on the Moon.
