Rajshahi and Rangpur Ranges Roll Out Online GD Services

Starting today, all police stations under the Rajshahi and Rangpur ranges—including Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) and Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RMP)—have launched online General Diary (GD) services, as confirmed by the Police Headquarters on Thursday, July 10.
In a press release, the police said, “As part of efforts to simplify police services, Bangladesh Police has launched a facility to file all types of GDs from home through online access.”
Currently, the online GD service is available across all police stations under the Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, and Chattogram ranges, as well as the Sylhet and Chattogram Metropolitan Police. Previously, only lost-and-found related GDs could be filed online. The service is being gradually expanded to other ranges and metropolitan areas.
To access the service, users must download the “Online GD” app from the Google Play Store and complete a one-time registration.
“No repeated registration is necessary,” the statement said. For assistance with registration or filing an online GD, users are encouraged to contact the 24/7 hotline at 01320001428.
Bangladesh Police reaffirmed its commitment “to delivering law enforcement services to the public in a faster and more accessible manner.”
