Nvidia Notches New Heights with $4 Trillion Valuation
Chipmaker Nvidia reached a historic milestone on Wednesday by becoming the first company to hit a $4 trillion market valuation, fueled by surging demand for artificial intelligence technologies. According to Reuters, the company's stock rose 2.8% to a record high of $164.42.
With this leap, Nvidia has overtaken Apple and Microsoft in market capitalization, currently standing at $3.97 trillion. In a remarkable trajectory, the company has tripled its valuation within just a year—after crossing the $1 trillion mark in 2023.
Analysts say Nvidia’s meteoric rise reflects growing investor confidence in the future of AI. “Nvidia’s rise is a reflection of the market’s belief in the future of AI technology,” one analyst noted.
So far this year, Nvidia’s shares have surged nearly 22% and rebounded around 74% from April’s low. The company has projected revenue of $45 billion for the second quarter.
