Clair Obscur Captivates: Expedition 33's Enthralling Debut

French developer Sandfall’s first game, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has made a strong impression since its release. Launched on April 24, this turn-based RPG has already sold over one million copies, according to Engadget.
Publisher Kepler Interactive reported that 500,000 copies were sold on the very first day. Notably, this figure does not include users playing the game via Game Pass.
In Expedition 33, the story follows a group of adventurers on a mission to destroy a mysterious entity known as the "Paintress," who each year paints a number on a monolith—condemning all individuals of that age to inevitable death.
Matt Smith of Engadget praised the game as "a beautifully built and deeply thoughtful world." The game is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
