Mahmudur Rahman’s Mobile Missing During 'March for Gaza'

Mahmudur Rahman, the editor of the Daily Amar Desh, lost his mobile phone on the way to the ‘March for Gaza’ rally held at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka. The news was shared on Saturday, April 12, through the official Facebook page of the newspaper.
The statement read, “While walking from Karwan Bazar to Suhrawardy Udyan, Amar Desh Editor Mahmudur Rahman lost his mobile phone. Anyone who may have found it is kindly requested to return it to the Amar Desh office at Karwan Bazar.” The notice also provided the office's contact information: 09666747400, and address: 8th Floor, Dhaka Trade Centre, 99 Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue, Dhaka.
The rally concluded with the reading of a declaration pledging solidarity with the people of Gaza, followed by a prayer. Mahmudur Rahman delivered the declaration on behalf of the participants. The program ended around 4:15 PM with a prayer led by Mufti Abdul Malek, the Khatib of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram.
The event had officially commenced earlier at approximately 3:15 PM with a recitation from the Qur’an by renowned Qari Ahmad bin Yusuf. Organized by the Palestine Solidarity Movement Bangladesh, the rally was presided over by Mufti Abdul Malek.
Due to the overwhelming number of participants, many protesters overflowed from Suhrawardy Udyan into the adjacent Ramna Park to accommodate the crowd.
