Bangladesh Backs Bilateral Boost in Space Tech with Turkey

Foreign Affairs Adviser of Bangladesh, Md. Touhid Hossain, has called upon Turkey to become a reliable partner for Dhaka in the field of space technology. The appeal was made during a meeting with Mehmet Demiroglu, President and CEO of Turkish Aerospace, on the sidelines of the Anatolia Diplomacy Forum (ADF) 2025 held in Turkey. Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md. Mahfuz Alam also participated in the meeting.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both sides agreed to explore avenues for Turkish investment in Bangladesh and collaborate on technology transfer to support human resource development.
“We need a dependable partner in space technology,” said Foreign Affairs Adviser Touhid Hossain. “If Bangladesh and Turkey support one another, it will be mutually beneficial.”
In response to the invitation extended by the Foreign Affairs Adviser, Turkish Aerospace’s CEO agreed to lead a high-level Turkish delegation to Bangladesh to explore existing opportunities and discuss future cooperation in the space technology sector.
Senior officials from both sides, including Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Turkey, were present during the meeting.
