The results of the undergraduate admission tests for the 2024-2025 academic year at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) have been published. The results were officially released on Wednesday night (February 26) on the respective university websites.
According to a press release from BUET’s Public Relations Office, "The admission process will commence on March 10. Based on the final admission test results, the list of initially selected and waitlisted candidates has been published on the BUET website. Additionally, candidates have been allocated their respective departments according to the merit list and their preferences."
This year, a total of 7,467 candidates appeared for BUET’s final admission test, with an attendance rate of 98.87 percent. The exam was conducted on February 13 in two shifts—one from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the other from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM—on the BUET campus.
University authorities have noted that student attendance in this year’s admission test was higher than in previous years. They stated that a "record number" of candidates participated in the final admission test.
Meanwhile, at RUET, 19,915 applicants sat for the preliminary selection test on February 8 across three shifts. The results of this pre-selection test were published on February 10, with 8,002 candidates qualifying for the final admission test.
