Facebook Faces Widespread Web Disruptions
Despite no reported issues on the mobile app, users encountered difficulties accessing the web version of social media platform Facebook on Thursday morning. Reports of disruptions emerged from Bangladesh and several other countries worldwide. Affected users stated that attempting to access the platform via desktop computers resulted in a message displaying, "Sorry, something went wrong."
According to data from Downdetector.com, by 9:00 AM in Bangladesh, at least 97 users had reported Facebook access issues on the website. Many of them took screenshots and shared their concerns on another social media platform, X, questioning whether Facebook’s servers were down again.
Meanwhile, in the United States, over 16,000 Facebook users reported experiencing similar problems, while more than 150 users in India also reported disruptions.
