Dhaka, Monday (28 September): Addressing connectivity barriers in remote and off-grid locations, global smartphone brand Infinix has introduced 'UltraLink'—an innovative technology that enables compatible smartphones to establish direct phone-to-phone connection without relying on cellular towers, SIM signals, or data connections.
According to Infinix's internal laboratory testing, the HOT 70 Pro 5G achieved a maximum UltraLink range of up to 1.5 kilometers in an open environment with a clear line of sight between devices. The actual communication range may vary depending on environmental terrain and surrounding obstacles.
The technology serves as an alternative communication bridge when conventional network coverage drops or becomes unavailable. Trekkers, outdoor explorers, or group travelers can utilize this direct wireless link to stay connected without waiting for network restoration. Beyond standard voice calls, UltraLink allows users to send text messages and transfer images directly between supported devices.
While traditional smartphone innovations heavily emphasize processor speed, camera optics, and battery capacities, Infinix’s UltraLink reimagines the core functionality of a mobile phone by ensuring seamless connectivity during network blackouts.
