Dhaka, Monday (28 September): Harnessing real-time citizen reporting, location-tagged complaint mapping, and automated administrative workflow integration, Dhaka South City Corporation’s (DSCC) newly launched ‘Clean Care’ mobile application has logged a total of 1,461 complaints over the past two months (up to September 28). Out of these, 1,020 complaints have been successfully resolved, while the remaining 441 issues are currently being processed by field-level sanitation officers.

Introduced as part of the current government's first 180-day priority development framework, the 'Clean Care' digital system aims to enforce strict accountability across DSCC's municipal waste management pipeline. The mobile app enables citizens to easily capture images and report neighborhood garbage accumulation or public sanitation hazards directly to local conservancy inspectors, drastically boosting operational oversight and response speeds. Residents can access the platform via dedicated download links.

Highlighting the initiative, DSCC Administrator Freedom Fighter Md. Abdus Salam stated, "Along with the Corporation’s ongoing field drives, the proactive participation of city dwellers is essential for creating a clean urban environment. By reviewing direct feedback, complaints, and suggestions received through the Clean Care app, we will continue our relentless effort to build a clean, liveable, and modern Dhaka."

DSCC expects that this tech-driven municipal oversight system will significantly optimize daily waste disposal and modernize Dhaka’s overall public health infrastructure.
