Kuwait-Dhaka Biman Flights Resume
Biman Bangladesh resumes Kuwait flights after 6 months; fares drop
- Biman Bangladesh Airlines resumed regular flights on the Kuwait-Dhaka route after nearly six months of interruption due to conflict
- The resumption has driven down ticket prices across online platforms, offering major relief to Bangladeshi expatriates
- Enhanced cyber monitoring and advanced aviation tech support seamless connectivity between Dhaka and Kuwait
Leveraging advanced aviation engineering and modern online ticketing portals, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has officially resumed its direct flight operations on the Kuwait-Dhaka route after a gap of nearly six months. Flight services on this route were suspended on February 28 due to regional conflicts in the Middle East. Regular operations officially recommenced on Saturday, August 29.
The resumption was confirmed by A K M Farhad, Country Manager of Biman Bangladesh Airlines in Kuwait, during an interactive view-exchange program organized by the Bangladesh Press Club, Kuwait.
During the suspension of direct flights, Bangladeshi expatriates were forced to purchase tickets online at inflated prices from alternative airlines. The high fares posed significant hardship for workers seeking emergency transit or holiday travel back home.
Relevant sources confirmed that the revival of direct national flights has fostered healthier competition across online distribution systems and commercial flight operators, resulting in a reduction of airfare rates. Passengers expect that maintaining consistent flight schedules backed by efficient tech infrastructure will keep airfares reasonable and reduce travel hassles.
This direct air link connecting Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka and Kuwait International Airport restores a vital transit corridor for thousands of Bangladeshi expatriates.
