Online employment portal Bdjobs has urged users to remain cautious regarding misleading claims and misinformation circulating on social media concerning a purported leak of 6 million CVs on the dark web.
Addressing recent security rumors regarding its database architecture, Bdjobs issued an official statement on Monday, 24 Augus, on Facebook, asserting that user data protection and cybersecurity protocols remain its top operational priorities. The platform highlighted that comprehensive cybersecurity mechanisms and granular access control protocols are actively deployed to govern which entities can view candidate profiles.
Bdjobs explained that verified recruiter accounts from registered organizations are granted access to view candidate profiles strictly for organizational recruitment purposes. Any monetization or transfer of user data to third parties is strictly prohibited. The platform committed to taking stringent legal action against any registered employer found attempting to sell or misappropriate job seeker information upon receipt of verifiable reports.
The organization advised the public to refrain from sharing or being misled by unverified claims on social channels. Users were encouraged to cross-check security-related information exclusively through Bdjobs' official communication channels rather than unauthenticated third-party posts.
