Education and Primary & Mass Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milan has emphasized that Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is essential for converting Bangladesh's vast population into a productive workforce. Speaking as the chief guest at a national dialogue titled "A National Dialogue on TVET for a Skilled & Productive Bangladesh," held at Daffodil Plaza in Dhanmondi, he urged a shift away from conventional academic approaches.

Dr. Milan highlighted that under the vision of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the government has placed top priority on vocational skills. He noted that globally certified skilled workers are in high demand and that sending trained expatriate workforce abroad will significantly boost the nation’s remittance inflows.

To expand technical education infrastructure, the Minister announced that the government is establishing four new engineering colleges across the country. Additionally, a dedicated project is being initiated to transform Dhaka Polytechnic Institute into a flagship model institution.

The event featured special remarks from Technical and Madrasah Education Division Secretary Md. Daud Miah. Daffodil Group Chairman Dr. Md. Sabur Khan presented the keynote paper, while CCN Polytechnic Institute Chairman Dr. Md. Tariqul Islam Chowdhury delivered the welcome address.
