Accelerating structural transitions toward scalable digital banking pipelines, autonomous algorithmic protocols, and robust financial networks, the 6th Bangladesh Fintech Summit convened in the capital on 10 October, Saturday. Initiated by the Bangladesh Fintech Forum and organized by the Bangladesh Brand Forum, the day-long summit, titled "Mastercard Presents 6th Bangladesh Fintech Summit Powered by Dhaka Bank PLC & in Association with Upay," was hosted at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka, drawing central bankers, fintech innovators, enterprise leaders, investors, technologists, and researchers.
Targeting institutional evolution beyond mere front-end consumer adoption, the summit evaluated pathways for architecting dependable core financial infrastructure. In his welcoming address, Bangladesh Brand Forum Group CEO & Executive Editor Sajid Mahbub emphasized that the next phase of the nation's fintech journey requires converting initial transaction adoption into durable financial capability. He noted that technical solutions must cultivate systemic consumer trust and operational accessibility through shared standards established by regulators, founders, and banking institutions.
The agenda featured two keynote lectures led by TransFi Global Chief Banking & Network Officer Naushad Hussain and GXBank Regional Head of Product Khuan Yew Lee, examining banking integration across ASEAN and South Asia, alongside scaling neo-banks from incubation to one million accounts. Additionally, an Expert Deep Dive conducted by Kube Money Co-founder & CEO Gazi Yar Mohammed evaluated the strategic shift from rule-based automation to agentic intelligence, assessing the deployment parameters of autonomous AI across local financial services.
Across dynamic panel sessions, delegates explored how advanced AI models and digital bank licenses will reshape domestic transactions over the coming decade, examining scalable cashless interoperability to reach the next 100 million unbanked or underbanked citizens. Deliberations also focused on cyber-resilient cloud architectures, regulatory sandboxes, enterprise data sovereignty, AI governance frameworks, and algorithmic consumer protection.
