Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam launches IT Incubation Guideline 2026 in Jashore
Incubation Centers to Create Jobs
- ICT Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam calls to transform IT incubation centers into employment hubs.
- BHTPA introduces the 'IT Training & Incubation Center Management Guideline-2026'.
- Emphasis laid on market-driven skills, post-training 'after-care', and industry-academia synergy.
Minister for Posts, Telecommunications & ICT and Science & Technology, Faqir Mahbub Anam, emphasized that the ultimate goal of technical training must be creating job opportunities, freelancing capabilities, and entrepreneurship among youth rather than just awarding certificates.
He made the statement on Saturday (August 22) while virtually addressing the audience as the chief guest at a seminar on the 'IT Training and Incubation Center Operation, Maintenance, and Management Guideline-2026' organized at the Jashore Software Technology Park auditorium.
Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam noted that in a rapidly evolving technological landscape, training must align with future market demands. "The success of a training program lies in whether the participant secured a job, started freelancing, or became an entrepreneur. A robust 'after-care' mechanism is crucial to track real-world application of skills," he added. He further stressed optimizing underutilized government infrastructure and building a strong 'Industry-Academia-Innovation-Investment' ecosystem involving universities, research bodies, financial institutions, and venture capitalists.
Formulated by the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA), the 'Guideline-2026' aims to standardize and streamline all incubation and IT training operations across the country. Under this framework, an integrated digital platform will handle course modules, attendance, evaluations, and certification digitally. Aspiring startups will also receive comprehensive mentoring, market linkage, and venture investment support.
Chaired by BHTPA Member Anupam Barua, the seminar featured BHTPA Managing Director Md. Fazlur Rahman as the special guest. Representatives from local district administration, law enforcement, and tech investors attended the event.
