With the vision of transforming youth innovation into tangible enterprises, creating technology-driven employment, encouraging research, and building a knowledge-based economy, the ICT Division is organizing a special event. Titled 'Tarunno, Startup o Sombhabonar Bangladesh' (Youth, Startup, and Prospect of Bangladesh), the grand event will take place on July 14, 2026, at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban, University of Dhaka (DU). According to a press release issued by the DU authorities on Saturday (July 11), Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will grace the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest.

The event will also be attended by Fakir Mahbub Anam, Minister for Science & Technology and Posts, Telecommunications & IT, alongside Rehan Asif Asad, the Prime Minister's Advisor on Posts, Telecommunications & IT. The opening ceremony will feature audio-visual screenings on the Bangladeshi startup ecosystem, a success-story sharing session titled 'Golpo Noy Shotti', an open dialogue between the Prime Minister and university students, and the distribution of grant checks to selected startups. Following the inaugural segment, the event will open to all from 1:00 PM.

The central attraction of the event will be the official launching of the 'National Startup and Entrepreneurship Platform'. Serving as a national digital launchpad, this unified platform will allow entrepreneurs to seamlessly access information regarding government support programs, application procedures, training, mentoring, investment linkages, and partner networks.

Integrating the innovative potential of youth and women into the economic mainstream remains a top national priority for the current government. In line with the government's Election Manifesto 2026, a 500-crore BDT 'Startup Fund' has already been established to finance promising ventures. Urging the youth to stride forward with innovative courage, the ICT Division noted that a single innovative idea today could lay the foundation for a world-class Bangladeshi corporation tomorrow.
