Coke Studio Bangla has released "Megh", a new song from Season 4 to mark the beginning of the monsoon season.
June 28, Sunday, the song premiered at 7:30 pm across major digital streaming platforms and the official Coke Studio Bangla YouTube channel.
The track surpassed 1,000 views within its first hour and crossed the 10,000-view milestone later the same night.
Running for nearly six minutes, "Megh" blends Bengali classical music traditions with contemporary musical arrangements.
The composition is inspired by the classical raga Miyan Ki Malhar and has been arranged by Shayan Chowdhury Arnob and Mohammad Shoaib. The song reflects themes of anticipation, renewal and hope associated with the rainy season.
Inspired by the literary works of Rabindranath Tagore and enriched with modern spoken-word elements, the production presents a fresh interpretation of traditional artistic expression.
The song features vocals by Masha Islam, Mohammad Shoaib and Mousumi.
According to the producers, the release is part of an ongoing effort to introduce Bangladesh's musical heritage to younger audiences through contemporary digital storytelling.
