US telecom giant AT&T has announced a special service titled “eSIM by AT&T” for football fans and tourists travelling to North America for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. The service aims to provide uninterrupted and high-speed internet connectivity across the three host nations—United States, Canada, and Mexico. The FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place across the three North American countries from June 11 to July 19.

According to AT&T, the special eSIM service has been introduced to ensure that international visitors can enjoy the tournament without facing roaming complications and instantly share their experiences with family and friends back home.

The company has divided the eSIM service into four different passes or packages to suit customer convenience. All package prices include taxes and other applicable fees.

The 1-day pass is priced at USD 3.99 and is available only for the United States.

The 7-day pass costs USD 15.99 for the United States only, while the package covering all three countries—the United States, Canada, and Mexico—is priced at USD 24.99.

The 15-day pass is available at USD 25.99 for the United States only and USD 39.99 for the three-country package.

Meanwhile, the 30-day pass has been priced at USD 40.99 for the United States only and USD 59.99 for access across all three host countries.

Under these packages, customers will receive completely unlimited smartphone data along with up to 5GB hotspot sharing support. AT&T also announced that unlimited talktime and text messaging services will be added to the packages very soon.

To use the service, users must ensure that their smartphones are unlocked and support eSIM functionality.

Visitors travelling to North America for the World Cup will need to download AT&T’s “Connect on Demand” app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store before arriving. Upon entering the respective country, users will be able to purchase and instantly activate their preferred eSIM package directly through the app.

Jennifer Robertson, Executive Vice President and General Manager of AT&T, said, “Travelers always want their internet connection to be simple, seamless, and reliable from the moment they arrive at their destination. Through this eSIM, we are offering international travelers an easy and flexible communication solution so they can fully enjoy every match and every moment of the World Cup experience.”
