AI Insurance Integration: Labaid Launches e-KYC InsurTech Platform
Private healthcare service provider Labaid Group has entered the artificial intelligence-driven insurance sector in Bangladesh by launching an AI-based e-KYC and integrated insurtech platform—Labaid Insurtech Company Limited.
The new initiative was inaugurated on Wednesday, 15 April, on the second floor of the Labaid Cancer Hospital in Green Road, Dhaka, by the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Labaid Group, Shafique Shamim, who has also assumed responsibility as the Founder Managing Director of the new company.
Among those present at the event were Chairman of Labaid Group Dr. Sucharita Ahmed; Director of Labaid Insurtech, Engineer Mastura Farzana Mohona; former Director of FBCCI Md. Mehedi Ali; and Senior Consultant of Labaid Central Hospital and Super Specialty Center, Professor Ehteshamul Haque.
At the inauguration ceremony, it was announced that the new platform brings various insurance services—including health, life, motor, and travel—under a unified smart digital solution. Modern features such as fast claim settlement, AI-driven fraud detection, and 24/7 customer support have been incorporated.
The company believes that this initiative will be regarded as a milestone in Bangladesh’s digital insurance sector and will further strengthen the country’s future financial security system.
