bdapps Awards 2026 Spotlight Youth Innovation and Launch National Android Bootcamp
The country’s leading mobile app store ‘bdapps’ organized the ‘bdapps Award Night 2026’ to honor emerging app developers and young innovators. Held in the capital, the event not only recognized winners but also marked the launch of a two-month special bootcamp aimed at future developers.
It was announced on 9 April, Thursday that Md. Saiful Islam, a student of Northern University of Business and Technology, Khulna, won the most prestigious ‘Campus Ambassador Champion’ award at the recently held event. He received this recognition for building an active campus community and encouraging students toward digital innovation.
For her contributions to increasing women’s participation in technology, Farah Sayed Abdul Bari was named ‘She Squad Champion’. Additionally, Muhammad Tausif Hossain from Barishal won the ‘Emerging Individual Developer 2025’ award, while the app ‘Biye Bondhu’, developed by Abu Bakar Siddiqi from Chattogram, was recognized as the ‘Emerging App of 2025’.
At the event, Head of Marketing of Robi Axiata PLC, Mohammad Shawkat Kader Chowdhury, inaugurated the ‘National Android Development Bootcamp (NADB)’ to enhance the technical and business skills of future mobile app developers. Following the two-month training program, champions will be selected through a competition based on judges’ scores.
It was also reported that, alongside the awards ceremony, a discussion session titled ‘Youth-Led Innovation: Driving Bangladesh’s Digital Future’ was held. Participants included Ostad COO Saurav Barua, Robi Director Manik Lal Das, ICT Olympiad Founder Mohammad Shahriar Khan, and Miyaki CEO Tanim Islam. The event was moderated by Md. Altamis Nabil.
Among others present were Robi Axiata PLC General Manager Shafique Shamsur Razzak, Manager Fatema Nashrah, and Senior Associate Khan Mahmudah Maliha, along with other senior officials.
