Good news for fans of the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. The two-dimensional fighting game titled Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game will be released worldwide on 2 July. Game developer Gameplay Group International has unveiled a new trailer and announced the game’s price at $29.99, reports Engadget.

The game will feature 12 characters, including both heroes and villains from the two series. The developer stated that more than 900 hand-drawn frames have been used for each character, giving the game a visual style similar to the television series.

The game will include both casual and ranked matches. To ensure a smooth experience among players, rollback netcode will be used, and crossplay support will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

The game will also feature a single-player story mode and a gallery mode containing “never before seen art.” Pre-orders have already begun. The standard edition is priced at $29.99. The deluxe edition costs $59.99 and includes a digital art book, music soundtrack, exclusive HUD, and a Year 1 Pass, which will add five more characters to be released in the future.

Pre-order customers will also receive a Samurai skin for Appa, exclusive colors, and the opportunity to vote on character selection for the Year 1 Pass.
