‘KokhonKothay’ Web App Launched to Guide Eid Prayer Timings and Locations
A new web application, KokhonKothay, has been launched to help users find accurate timings and locations of Eid congregational prayers (Jamaat) across the country, including the capital.
Through this platform, users can easily learn when Eid prayers will be held at nearby mosques. It also provides information on who will lead the prayers (imam) at specific mosques.
Particularly in large cities like Dhaka, many people prefer to offer Eid prayers outside their nearby localities. However, a lack of prior knowledge about prayer schedules at different mosques often creates confusion. The new web app is expected to address this issue effectively.
Additionally, users can contribute by adding information about mosques in their own areas. Over time, this will enrich the database and benefit other users as well.
According to the persons concerned, the platform enables users to view a list of nearby mosques based on their location, along with prayer timings and imam details, making it easier to plan their Eid day.
