Robi Builds Play Zone for Child Patients at Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation Hospital
Robi Axiata PLC has built a play zone for child patients at the Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation Hospital as part of its campaign titled “Chotto Ekta Kaje Hajar O Ichchepuron” (Fulfillment of Thousands of Wishes Through a Small Act) during the holy month of Ramadan.
Due to the long-term treatment required for children suffering from Thalassemia, the normal joys of childhood often become limited. Considering this reality, the initiative was taken to create a joyful environment for the children. Decorated with toys and colorful materials, the play zone allows children to spend time playing and enjoying themselves. On the inauguration day, Robi employees spent time with the children and distributed gifts.
Under the same initiative, Robi has implemented two additional programs. Educational materials, Robi WiFi, a smart TV, and a water filter were provided to a revitalized school in the Muraichhara tea garden area of Moulvibazar. In addition, children of a madrasa and orphanage in Matlab Upazila were given Eid clothing and gifts.
Shihab Ahmad, Chief Commercial Officer of Robi, said the campaign aims to bring positive change in society through small but meaningful initiatives instead of traditional advertising.
