Grameenphone Partners with ChatniAds to Run Ads on Grocery Store Screens
Grameenphone, the country’s largest telecom operator by number of subscribers, will display advertisements on digital screens in grocery stores. To this end, the operator has signed a partnership agreement with ChatniAds, a digital out-of-home advertising platform.
Under the agreement, Grameenphone’s advertisements will be displayed on ChatniAds’ digital screens installed in more than 150 grocery stores located at around 14 major gathering points across the country. Senior officials from both organizations were present at the signing ceremony.
The information about the agreement, recently signed, was disclosed on Saturday (14 March) by ChatniAds, which is owned by PriyoShop.
According to the company, the initiative will allow customers visiting grocery stores to purchase daily essentials while also viewing advertisements from Grameenphone and other leading brands on digital screens. This will create opportunities for brands to reach thousands of customers with their messages and information within a short time.
In addition to Grameenphone, ChatniAds is currently working with SMC on awareness campaigns. Various brands including WaterAid, ACI Salt, Leona, Easy Track and Swapnonibas are also associated with this digital network.
ChatniAds is an initiative of PriyoShop, the country’s inclusive B2B commerce platform. Through this platform, PriyoShop—known for working with micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) for a long time—is gradually transforming grocery stores into digital media touchpoints.
Co-founder of ChatniAds Dipti Mondol said that by leveraging the country’s strong retail network, brands will be able to easily reach their target customers. She added that partnerships with leading brands such as Grameenphone will help achieve this goal.
