Bangladesh Embassy in Doha Urges Vigilance for Expatriates Amid Iran-Israel War
The Embassy of Bangladesh, Doha has urged all Bangladeshi expatriates residing in Doha to exercise special caution in light of the situation arising from the outbreak of the Iran–Israel war.
At the same time, the embassy has requested that, in case of any emergency, citizens contact its hotline number at +97433662000 or reach out via email at [email protected].
In an emergency notice issued on Saturday, 28 February, the embassy stated that, in the interest of security, everyone is requested to stay away from the vicinity of military installations and remain at their respective residences or in safe locations. It further urged citizens not to go outside unless absolutely necessary until the danger has passed.
The notice also advised expatriates to keep essential items with them at all times, including cash, their Qatar ID (QID), health card, necessary medicines, mobile phone charger, and dry food.
All are requested to remain respectful of Qatari law and to follow the statements and directives issued by the Government of Qatar. The notice cautioned that uploading related photographs or videos on social media is contrary to the prevailing laws of Qatar. Therefore, citizens have been urged to exercise caution in their use of social media as well.
