BTRC Brings in Abdur Rahman Sardar as Commissioner
Senior District and Sessions Judge Abdur Rahman Sardar has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC). The Ministry of Public Administration issued the appointment on Monday, August 24, for a three-year term.
Throughout his career, Sardar has served as Senior District and Sessions Judge as well as Chief Judicial Magistrate in various districts of the country.
He has also worked as a judge at the Speedy Trial Tribunal in Dhaka and the Customs, Excise, and VAT Appellate Tribunal.
Most recently, before his retirement, he served as the Secretary of the Bangladesh Bar Council. Following retirement, he was enlisted as an advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
The newly appointed BTRC Commissioner hails from Bholaia Union in Bhandaria Upazila of Pirojpur district.
