Walton Unveils Argentina Fan Jersey at Grand Dhaka Event
Domestic electronics giant Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC has unveiled the fan jersey of the Argentina national football team at a grand event in Dhaka. The Ambassador of Argentina to Dhaka, Marcelo Carlos Cesa, attended the programme.
According to a statement issued by Walton Hi-Tech on Tuesday, February 24, the ‘Argentina Fan Jersey Unveiling’ event was held on February 23 at the Walton Corporate Office in the capital, where the jersey was introduced for supporters.
Speaking at the event held at the Walton Corporate Office, Ambassador Marcelo Carlos Cesa said that Walton is no longer just a brand; it is a symbol of Bangladesh’s capability and confidence. From local manufacturing to expansion in international markets, the company represents the country’s forward march in every aspect. He also mentioned that Walton products are currently exported to more than 50 countries worldwide.
Walton Managing Director S M Mahbubul Alam said that Argentina’s football is an emotional part of the people of Bangladesh. During the World Cup, various parts of the country are covered with sky-blue and white flags. The initiative to unveil the fan jersey has been taken to honor this passion and love.
Also present at the event were Chairman of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC S M Shamsul Alam, Managing Director S M Mahbubul Alam, and Director Sabiha Zarin Orna.
As the official regional sponsor of the current world champion Argentina national football team, Walton had earlier signed an agreement with the Argentine Football Association (AFA). As a result, the company has become involved in various branding activities of the Argentina team.
