DIIT Begins New Chapter with Permanent Campus

Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) has laid the foundation stone of its permanent campus at Green Model Town in Manda, Dhaka, aiming to promote skill-based higher education, technology-enabled learning, and workforce development aligned with future market demands.

The foundation ceremony, held on Saturday (June 20, 2026), marks a major milestone in the institution’s academic journey and reflects its commitment to education, innovation, and career-oriented skills development.

The event was inaugurated by Professor Dr. A.S.M. Amanullah, Vice-Chancellor of National University. The session was chaired by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University and Daffodil Group.

Among others present were Professor Dr. Mohammad Al Amin, Chairman of the Governing Body of DIIT; Dr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO of Daffodil Family; Professor Dr. Md. Mostafa Kamal, Adviser to DIIT; Principal Professor Dr. Mohammad Shakhawat Hossain; along with academics, alumni, students, and well-wishers.

Speaking at the event, Professor Dr. A.S.M. Amanullah said National University is prioritizing skill-based and employment-oriented education to address unemployment and meet global workforce demand.

He noted that initiatives are underway to produce around 200,000 skilled graduates annually, including 50,000 technically skilled women freelancers every year.

Chairman Dr. Sabur Khan emphasized that developing students’ skill matrices is essential to preparing them for both local and international employment markets.

According to organizers, the permanent campus will create a modern environment for teaching, research, innovation, and industry-relevant education while accelerating DIIT’s long-term educational vision.

DIIT reaffirmed its commitment to producing competent human resources and contributing to national development through quality education and innovation.
