New Leadership at DMCH Intern Doctors Society
DMCH IDS Elects Dr. Faisal as President, Dr. Nabil as Secretary
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Intern Doctors Society (IDS) has elected Dr. Mostafa Ameer Faisal as its new President and Dr. Nabil Bin Kashem as General Secretary.
In addition to the President and General Secretary, the six-member committee includes Dr. Abdullah Al Maruf as Vice President, Dr. Ashraf Siddiqui as Joint General Secretary, Dr. Saikat Ahmed as Organizing Secretary, and Dr. A. Matin as Treasurer.
They were elected on Sunday, February 22, through direct voting by intern doctors. According to the rules, the newly elected leaders will later form a full-fledged committee through discussion.
Sources from the Election Commission (EC) said that out of 232 intern doctors, 169 exercised their voting rights. As a result, the voter turnout in this election stood at 72.8 percent.
It is worth mentioning that on September 5, 2024, intern doctors of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) elected their representatives through direct voting for the first time. Through this process, a new organization named the Intern Doctors Society (IDS) began its journey for the intern doctors of the medical college hospital.
