From February 25, the United Kingdom will issue only e-visas for Bangladeshi applicants. The information was shared in a message from the British High Commission Dhaka on Monday, February 23.

The High Commission has advised applicants to visit the provided link for detailed information regarding the new system.

According to the message, once a visa is issued, the applicant must create a UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) account. Through this account, passport information can be linked and the issued e-visa can be verified. It is extremely important to complete this digital verification before traveling to the United Kingdom.

The British High Commission further clarified that a traveler will be permitted to enter the United Kingdom only after all information in the UKVI account has been accurately updated. No additional fee or payment will be required to access this digital service or to create the account. The initiative has been taken to modernize, expedite, and enhance the security of the visa process.
