Bridging the Gap: Varendra CSE Students Visit Vivasoft
Students from the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department of Varendra University visited the Rajshahi office of Vivasoft Limited to gain firsthand insight into how a professional software company operates in real-world settings.
According to Vivasoft authorities on Thursday, February 19, students from the 29th, 30th, and 31st batches of the CSE department visited the office on February 17 under the leadership of Lecturer Md. Khalid Sakib. They were welcomed by Udayan Ghosh, Head of Software Development at Vivasoft’s Rajshahi office.
During the visit, the students participated in a technical session focused on modern software industry standards. The session covered how frontend and backend components of software are developed, as well as various tools used for code deployment and management, including CI/CD systems.
The students
also took part in a mentorship session, where they asked questions about how to begin their careers as fresh graduates. Discussions highlighted the importance of solving coding problems and building projects alongside university studies. The Vivasoft team demonstrated how to prepare a professional CV that effectively stands out to employers.

He further mentioned that students gained an understanding of how emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), are transforming job markets and reshaping required skill sets.
Udayan Ghosh, Head of Software Development at Vivasoft’s Rajshahi office, said the company aims to reduce the gap between university curricula and the software industry. He added that the organization is committed to identifying and supporting talented young individuals from Rajshahi.
The press release also stated that Vivasoft is currently expanding rapidly both in Bangladesh and internationally. As part of this expansion, the company plans to recruit more software engineers from local universities.
