e-CAB Forms Supporting Committee to Accelerate Activities and Facilitate Timely Election
A supporting committee has been formed for the e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) with the aim of assisting the administrator in restoring dynamism to regular activities and arranging elections within a short timeframe.
The committee was constituted through an office order signed by Dr. Saif Uddin Ahmed, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, on Thursday, February 26.
The members of the committee are: Jannatul Haque, proprietor of Rajur Cuisine; Kazi Mukituzzaman, proprietor of Tapur; Zia Ashraf of Chaldalal.com; Mohammad Sahab Uddin, Managing Director of Diabetes Store; Abdus Salam of London Bazar; Mohammad Nurul Islam Babu of Khet Khamar; Syed Ushoyat Imam of Express In Town; Saiful Islam of Amar Gadget; Hosne Ara Nuri of Naurins Mirror; and Mohammad Anwar Sadat of Master Engineering Technologies.
According to sources, the newly formed supporting committee will assist in various organizational activities, enhance coordination among members, and play an effective role in the overall development of the e-commerce sector. The committee will help implement organizational policies, identify members’ problems, and provide necessary recommendations.
Concerned stakeholders stated that the country’s digital commerce sector is expanding rapidly. In this context, forming a strong supporting structure is a timely initiative. Through this committee, coordinated efforts can be undertaken to enhance members’ skills, provide technological assistance, and expand market opportunities.
e-CAB leaders expressed hope that the committee will play a significant role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and sustainable development in the e-commerce sector in the future.
