Digital Drive for Research: CUET Launches DRE Online Management System
The Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET) has launched the “DRE Project Online Management System” under the initiative of its Directorate of Research and Extension and with technical supervision from the Institute of Information and Communication Technology, CUET (IICT).
The system was officially inaugurated on Monday, February 16, by CUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiya. Deans of various faculties, institute directors, and heads of departments were present at the event.
According to university authorities, the new platform brings the institution’s research activities under a comprehensive digital framework. Through this system, processes such as research proposal submission, internal and external review, and overall research management are expected to become significantly faster and more streamlined compared to previous manual procedures.
Officials expressed optimism that the digitalization of research management will enhance efficiency, transparency, and coordination within the university’s research ecosystem.
