The 20th annual conference and workshop of the Bangladesh Network Operators Group (bdNOG), the national organization of engineers engaged in the development, operation, and security of the country’s internet infrastructure, is set to be held in Sylhet this year. The four-day technical workshop and conference will take place from 11 to 14 November at a hotel and resort in Sylhet.

According to the organizers, the technical workshops will be held from 11 to 13 November, while the main conference will take place on 14 November. The Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) will serve as a co-organizer for this year’s conference. bdNOG President Rashed Amin Bidyut is expected to speak at the event, along with ISPAB President Aminul Hakim, General Secretary Nazmul Karim Bhuiyan, and other distinguished leaders.

bdNOG General Secretary Borktul Alam Biplob stated that the technical workshop will focus on three core areas: Network and DNS Security, Virtualization with Proxmox, and Advanced Routing with Mikrotik. He noted, “This training workshop will help enhance the professional skills of engineers, and the ISP sector in the country will benefit from it.”

bdNOG continues to work actively through such conferences to promote knowledge sharing and the development of technical expertise among engineers responsible for the construction, operation, and security of Bangladesh’s internet infrastructure. The previous bdNOG conference was held in Cox’s Bazar, where more than a hundred engineers from across the country participated.
