DDI Expo to Showcase Devices, Innovation and Inclusive Digital Growth
Tri-Fold Smartphone, Deepfake Detection Device to Feature at DDI Expo 2026
With the aim of promoting inclusive digital development, the three-day Digital Device and Innovation Expo (DDI) 2026 is set to begin on January 28 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC) in the capital. Visitors will enjoy discounts of up to 40 percent on branded mobile phones, alongside special offers on computers and digital devices. The expo may also feature Samsung’s tri-fold smartphone, while Honor is set to introduce a device capable of detecting deepfake and voice-fake videos. Xiaomi will offer discounts of up to 10 percent along with gifts worth BDT 10,000, and Lenovo will present e-bikes for lucky visitors.
The information was shared at a press conference held on January 27 (Tuesday) at Hotel InterContinental, Dhaka.
Organisers said that the expo will showcase 56 innovations developed by students from across the country, alongside nine seminars. Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus will inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest.
The expo is being jointly organised by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, and the Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS). Gold sponsors include Epson, Honor, HP, Lenovo, Oppo, Samsung, Tecno, and Xiaomi, while Acer, Gigabyte, Netis, TP-Link, and UCC are participating as silver sponsors. Starlink Felicity IDC is joining the event as the Starlink partner.
At the press conference, ICT Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury outlined the overall objectives of the exhibition, highlighting the importance of addressing both downstream and upstream demands in the digital sector to ensure inclusive digital development in Bangladesh.
The press conference was moderated by BCS President Mohammad Jahirul Islam. Among the speakers were Md Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan, Managing Director of the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, and Mohammad Saiful Hasan, Member (Investment and Park Coordination) of the authority and Joint Secretary. BCS Secretary General Muhammad Monirul Islam brief ed the overall exhibition plan infront the press.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Saiful Hasan said the expo is not merely a platform for showcasing technology but a tangible reflection of Bangladesh’s investment potential, policy readiness, and future technology vision. “Our core objective is to build a connected, investment-friendly, and sustainable digital ecosystem,” he said.
According to the presentation, on the opening day, following the inauguration ceremony, the exhibition will remain open until 8:00 pm. On other days, it will be open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Entry to the expo is free, but visitors must register either online at www.ddiexpo.com.bd or through on-spot registration.
The expo will feature several dedicated zones, including an Innovation Zone, Digital Device Zone, Mobile Zone, E-sports Zone, and B2B Zone. Visitors will be able to purchase products of their choice from the Digital Device and Mobile Zones.
During the exhibition, five seminars and four panel discussions will be held, focusing on practical and commercial aspects of information technology.
