AI Impersonation: CU administration to verify Divya's documents.
The Chittagong University (CU) administration is verifying the admission test results of Dibya Jyoti Saha, who was caught using AI on his mobile phone to cheat during the Rajshahi University (RU) 'C' Unit admission test.
Professor Saidur Rahman Chowdhury, Director of CU's ICT Cell, has confirmed that Dibya's admission test documents have already been handed over from the ICT Cell to various administrative personnel. He also mentioned that these documents have been sent to the Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, and the Coordinator of the 'A' Unit admission test.
CU's Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr. Mohammad Shamim Uddin Khan stated that the matter has been presented to the central admission test committee. The committee will investigate whether the student resorted to any unfair means during the CU admission test. Since he was caught cheating at RU, the issue is being taken seriously. Appropriate action will be taken against him based on the recommendations of the examination committee's investigation.
Earlier, on January 16th, Dibya Jyoti Saha was apprehended by Rajshahi University (RU) administration for using AI on his mobile phone to cheat during the 'C' Unit admission test. He was caught at around 11 AM during the first shift of the exam at RU's Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose Academic Building.
Following news reports, it was revealed that Dibya Jyoti Saha secured the 3rd position in the Chittagong University (CU) admission test in 'A' Unit (Faculty of Science). After his apprehension, questions arose on social media whether he had also cheated during the CU exam. Consequently, the CU administration initiated an investigation into the matter.
Reportedly, Dibya Jyoti Saha scored 87.50 out of 100 in the CU 'A' Unit admission test, securing the 3rd position. His roll number in the CU admission test was 100222. He resides in Siddheswari, Dhaka, but his permanent address is in Khulna.
