Visa Verification via ‘Ami Probashi’ for Bangladeshi Migrant Workers
The digital platform ‘Ami Probashi’, which serves more than nine million users, has been working to address a wide range of challenges faced by Bangladeshi migrants. Continuing this effort, the platform has launched a pre-departure visa verification service for Bangladeshi migrants traveling to Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
The initiative aims to protect migrant workers from visa-related fraud and ensure safe and transparent migration. The service is already operational and can be accessed by calling 16768.
Under this service, migrants can call the helpline and provide the necessary visa details. The Ami Probashi team will then verify the information. Once verification is completed, the customer will receive an SMS confirming whether the visa is valid or invalid. If the visa details are not found in the system, applicants will be advised to contact the respective country’s embassy. If the visa is valid and approved by the concerned authorities, its authenticity will be confirmed via SMS.
The verification service is available quickly and conveniently for a nominal service fee. Through this initiative, Ami Probashi is playing a key role in resolving one of the most critical challenges in the migration process. Currently, the service is available only via the 16768 helpline.
Commenting on the launch, Tariq Ekramul Haque, Founder and Managing Director of Ami Probashi, said that ensuring a safe and transparent migration process for Bangladeshi workers is the platform’s core objective. He noted that through fast and reliable visa verification, the initiative aims to reduce the risk of visa-related fraud, allowing migrants to travel abroad with confidence. He described the service as an important step toward safeguarding migrant workers.
