Jagannath University ‘A’ Unit Admission Test Kicks Off: 84 Candidates Compete Per Seat
The admission test for the 2025–26 academic year undergraduate (honours) first-year programme under the Science and Life & Earth Science Faculty (‘A’ Unit) of Jagannath University began at 10:00 am on Friday, December 26.
The examination is being held at a total of 12 centres across the country. Of these, three centres are located outside Dhaka—at Cumilla University, Khulna University and Rajshahi University. Within Dhaka, the test is taking place at nine centres, including the Jagannath University campus.
To ensure security, candidates are being searched before entering the examination halls through designated gates.
A total of 72,474 applicants have applied for 860 available seats, meaning nearly 84 candidates are competing for each seat.
Regarding overall preparations, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Dr Parimal Bala, said that considering the convenience of examinees, test centres have been arranged this year in Khulna, Rajshahi and Comilla in addition to Dhaka.
