DU Postpones Science Unit Admission Test in Tribute to Sharif Osman Hadi and All July Martyrs
The University of Dhaka (DU) has postponed the admission test for the ‘Ka’ Unit (Science Unit) for the 2025–26 academic session, which was scheduled to be held on Saturday, December 20. The university administration said the revised schedule will be announced shortly.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued on Friday, December 19, by the DU Public Relations Office.
According to the notice, the decision was taken in honour of Sharif Osman Hadi and all July fighters and martyrs of the 2024 mass uprising. As a mark of respect, the first-year undergraduate admission test of the Science Unit has been postponed, with the new date to be communicated later.
The press release further stated that, in line with a state declaration, the University of Dhaka will observe a day of mourning on Saturday following the death of former DU student Sharif Osman Hadi.
