UITS Delegation Joins China–Bangladesh Health & Education Symposium 2025

A high-level delegation from the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) took part in the “China–Bangladesh Health and Education Cooperation Symposium 2025,” held in Dhaka.

The delegation was led by UITS Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hasan Bhuiyan, and included Treasurer Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Registrar Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, and IQAC Director Engineer Md. Safayet Hossain.

During the international symposium, held on 4 December to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the health and education sectors, UITS Vice-Chancellor Dr. Md. Abu Hasan Bhuiyan and University Grants Commission (UGC) Secretary Dr. Md. Fakhrul Islam delivered special guest speeches.

The event was attended by Chief Guest Li Xiaopeng, Cultural Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy.

Also present at the symposium were vice-chancellors and senior representatives from various universities, high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Health and other ministries, physicians, eminent academics, leaders of the Bangladesh-China Postgraduate Doctor Alumni Association and the Chinese Medical Alumni Association of Bangladesh, representatives of development partners, and members of the media.

The year 2025 marks the golden jubilee of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and China. With this historic milestone ahead, the symposium was organized to strengthen cooperation in the health and education sectors. Four thematic forums highlighted existing challenges and future prospects in these key areas.
