Daraz Declared ‘Digital Commerce of the Year’ at BRAC Bank–Daily Star ICT Awards

Daraz Bangladesh, the country’s leading e-commerce platform, has won the ‘Digital Commerce of the Year’ award at the 10th BRAC Bank–The Daily Star ICT Awards. At the awards ceremony held at Hotel Sheraton Dhaka in Banani, the honour was handed over to A H M Hasinul Quddus (Rusho), Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Daraz Bangladesh, by Planning Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud.

In a press release issued to the media on Tuesday, 2 December, he said, “It is truly an honour for us to receive this recognition alongside the institutions and entrepreneurs working to bring positive change to Bangladesh’s digital economy. At Daraz, we are relentlessly working every day to simplify customer experience through technology, enhance seller capabilities, and strengthen the country’s digital commerce ecosystem. The trust and support from everyone have inspired us throughout this journey.”

Nominees for the ‘Digital Commerce of the Year’ award were evaluated based on user growth, value addition, and revenue contribution over the past three years. Daraz has demonstrated consistent growth in all these areas and expanded its operations to all 64 districts of Bangladesh, making quality products more accessible to customers nationwide.

Since 2016, the BRAC Bank–The Daily Star ICT Awards have been recognizing ICT entrepreneurs and successful initiatives in the sector. The event promotes innovation and raises awareness about the role of technology in nation-building. This year’s ceremony was organized to celebrate a decade of technological contributions shaping Bangladesh’s economic and social landscape.
