Smart Lighting Factory to Rise in Kaliakair Hi-Tech Park

A new factory dedicated to AI- and IoT-enabled smart lighting and home automation products is being set up at the Kaliakair Hi-Tech Park in Gazipur. The facility, occupying 2.5 acres at Plot 11 in Block 6, is being established by Heavens Light Private Limited, a leading importer and distributor of modern electrical products.

From this factory, the company plans to begin production by next March on a range of smart lighting solutions, including smart lights, smart switches, drivers, control boards, and embedded software systems. The lineup will feature locally developed chandeliers, LED bulbs, street lights, LED tube lights, wall lights, dimmers, switches, and various IoT-enabled lighting devices.

On Tuesday afternoon, 2 December, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and ICT, will inaugurate the construction of the facility. Heavens Light Chairman Shahjalal Masum, Managing Director Shah Jubair, and Director Shah Abul Hasan will also be present.

According to company sources, the firm plans to invest around Tk 50 crore within the next year, creating employment for 300–400 people through the new plant.
