Thai Embassy and UK High Commission Warn Against Misleading Visa Claims
The relevant embassies and high commissions have issued warnings regarding misleading advertisements by certain agencies in Bangladesh about Thai e-visas and UK visa services.
The Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka stated that some local agencies are falsely claiming guaranteed approval of Thai e-visas within 2–3 hours. The embassy clarified that this is entirely untrue, as Thai e-visa applications undergo strict scrutiny and no agency can guarantee expedited approval. The embassy advised applicants to remain cautious of deceptive services.
Meanwhile, the British High Commission in Dhaka warned that submitting forged documents for a UK visa may result in a 10-year visa ban. The High Commission also reiterated that neither visas nor Electronic Travel Authorisations (ETAs) are ever guaranteed. Anyone claiming confirmed visa approval over phone, email, or text message should be treated as a scammer.
Both the embassy and the high commission advised applicants to apply only through official and government-authorised channels.
