BADC Diploma Engineers Association Elects New Central Committee

The Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) Diploma Engineers Association has elected its new central committee for the 2025–2027 term. In the election, Md. Masudul Karim Rana was elected President, Md. Sajjad Hossain as Senior Vice President, and Md. Jewel Mia as the General Secretary.

The annual general meeting and committee election took place on Thursday, November 6, at the BADC Auditorium located at the Senco Bhaban on Manik Mia Avenue in the capital.

Other elected central committee members include:
Vice President (Dhaka Region) Murtuza Siddiqui,
Vice President (Chattogram Region) Md. Belal Hossain,
Vice President (Rajshahi Region) Imran,
Vice President (Sylhet Region) S. M. Rakibul Islam,
Vice President (Khulna Region) Asif Mahmud.

Additionally, Asmaul Bin Hossain and Md. Mostafizur Rahman were elected Joint General Secretaries, while Md. Arafat Rahman was elected Organizational Secretary. In total, a 23-member committee has been formed.

Following the election results, the newly elected members were administered the oath of office.

Earlier in the day, a seminar titled “BADC’s Role and Challenges in Implementing Smart Irrigation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution” was held. The seminar was presided over by Md. Nazrul Islam Khan, President of the outgoing BADC Diploma Engineers Association.

The event was attended by Chief Guest Md. Ruhul Amin Khan, Chairman (Grade-1) of BADC, along with Special Guest Engr. Md. Kabir Hossain, Convener of IDEB Interim Central Committee. Also present were Md. Yusuf Ali, Member Director (Irrigation) and Joint Secretary of BADC, Chief Engineer (Irrigation) Muhammad Badiul Alam Sarkar, and Additional Chief Engineer (Western Region) Dr. Khan Faisal Ahmed.
