IEB Inspires Innovation and Integration
The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), stands as the national platform dedicated to protecting the rights and promoting the professional growth of engineers across the country. Recognized as a role model for advancing engineering excellence, IEB continues to work toward uniting engineers from both public and private universities and institutions under one collaborative framework. Keeping pace with the evolving world, IEB strives to represent the nation’s engineering knowledge and capabilities on the global stage.
Speakers highlighted these points on Sunday evening, November 2, during the logo and trophy unveiling ceremony of the upcoming Paper Meet held at IEB’s headquarters in Ramna, Dhaka.
Engineer Mohammad Riazul Islam (Riju), Chairman of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) and President of IEB, attended the event as the chief guest. Other distinguished speakers included Professor Dr. Md. Mofazzal Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Southeast University, and Professor Dr. A. B. M. Harun-ur-Rashid, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at BUET.
The event was presided over by Engineer Motahar Hossain, Chairman of IEB’s Electrical Engineering Division, and moderated by Engineer Umasha Umayun Moni Chowdhury, the division’s Secretary. Several electrical engineers from across the country also addressed the gathering.
Speakers noted that the Electrical Engineering Division of IEB is “working to accelerate national development and progress by overcoming past obstacles and unprofessional practices in the greater interest of the country and the nation.”
The division also announced with enthusiasm that the 6th Annual Paper Meet on Electrical Engineering (APMEE 2025) will be held at IEB on December 13–14, 2025.
