Semiconductor Specialist Showcases Book on Bangladesh’s Technological Prospects

Mohammad Enayetur Rahman, Bangladesh’s leading semiconductor expert and technology entrepreneur, has authored a new book titled Prayuktir Agrayatray Semiconductor O Bangladesher Sambhabana (Semiconductors and Bangladesh’s Potential in the Advancement of Technology). Known for establishing the global semiconductor company Ulkasemi in Bangladesh, Rahman shares his insights and visions for the future of this critical industry in the country.
The book was formally unveiled on September 5, Friday, marking Rahman’s debut as an author. The launching ceremony took place at Ulkasemi’s office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, where the cover was revealed by Rozaymi Abdullah, First Secretary of the Brunei High Commission.
The event was attended by Yousup Faruque, Country Managing Director for Microsoft in Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal; Dr. Arifa Chowdhury Rahman, Chairman of Ulkasemi; and publisher Mohammad Mashfikullah. Rahman’s peers, friends, and family members were also present.
Published by Student Wage, the 94-page book spans 11 chapters and is priced at Tk 300.
Speaking about the publication, Ulkasemi CEO and President Mohammad Enayetur Rahman stated: “Bangladesh is moving rapidly toward transformation. In this regard, intelligence-driven technologies such as 5G and IoT will take the lead. Within this context, semiconductors can become the core driving force of future technology. Skilled manpower and efficient production processes are essential in this journey. With that vision, I have already developed 400–500 skilled semiconductor engineers. Raising public awareness is a challenge, but I am relentlessly working toward it.”
