In today’s digital age, Facebook is fast becoming the go-to solution for everyday dilemmas, whether big or small. Actress Shabnam Faria recently turned to the social media platform for help in planning a family trip to Panchagarh to catch a glimpse of the Kanchenjunga.

Unable to figure out the arrangements on her own, Faria posted a query on Facebook. Responses poured in, with many offering advice. Among the most noteworthy came from Sarjis Alam, the Northern Regional Chief Organizer of the NCP, who is also an active presence on social media.

On Thursday, September 4, the television actress wrote: “Can anyone suggest any resort/hotel or stay-home near Panchagarh or Kanchenjunga where one can stay for 2/3 days with family?”

By Friday morning, September 5, around 1,800 comments had been posted. One of them, from Sarjis Alam, read: “Stay in Tetulia. There’s a Dak Bungalow, comparatively better. Besides, a few NGO-run resorts are also available. Welcome to Panchagarh!”

His comment alone had attracted 622 replies at the time of reporting, though Faria herself had yet to respond. The exchange also sparked lighthearted banter from others.

Notably, Faria is no longer a regular in acting, choosing instead to spend her time with family. Whenever possible, she enjoys traveling both within Bangladesh and abroad.
