Grameenphone and EBL Collaborate to Offer Smartphones on 24-Month Zero-Interest EMI
Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) will now offer Grameenphone customers the opportunity to purchase smartphones in 24-month interest-free installments. To this end, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently signed between the two organizations.
On August 3, it was announced to the media that the MoU was signed at the GP House in Dhaka by Munia Ghani, Head of Partnerships at Grameenphone, and Tasnim Hossain, Head of Cards at EBL.
According to a press release, under this agreement, Grameenphone customers will be able to avail themselves of the zero-percent EMI offer using EBL credit cards at partner outlets between August 10 and September 30. Customers can purchase smartphones from leading brands such as Samsung, Xiaomi (MI), Vivo, Oppo, as well as from multi-brand retailers like Gadget & Gear. To check eligibility for the offer, customers must send an SMS to 29000.
