Trump Touts Tech and Energy: $70 Billion Investment Incoming
U.S. President Donald Trump is set to announce a sweeping $70 billion investment initiative targeting artificial intelligence (AI) and the energy sector on Tuesday, according to a White House official and a related source.
The announcement will take place near Pittsburgh during an event attended by Republican Senator David McCormick, host of the Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit. The investment package will reportedly include funding for new data centers, as well as modernization and expansion of the national power grid, among other sectors.
Axios was the first to report the scale of the investment. However, Senator McCormick's office has not provided further details on the initiative.
